You Might Be a Baking Perfectionist

Although baking has been known to help relieve stress, for some it may bring out their inner, nervous perfectionist. It’s not necessarily a bad thing. You just want your treats to reach their full potential.

There’s a lot to baking. It really is a science. And with any sciences comes some experimenting and… mistakes. Have no fear, though! You’re definitely not alone. In fact, there are some tips to overcoming the terrors of the kitchen.

The most helpful for me has been starting small and going big. Rome wasn’t built in a day, my friend. Choose a recipe that’s tried and true. For example, a recipe for chocolate chip cookies. You don’t have to jump in by tackling a seven layer cake. Work your way up the baking food chain.

When it comes down to it, try not to stress. It’s only baking, and you can always try again!

We’ve all been there:

Honestly, what’s the difference? And why do I always grab the wrong one?:

When you set your hopes a little too high:

Tragic, but it happens to the best of us:

Your kitchen might look like a tornado struck:

When you’ve already been working on the cake for hours and forgot frosting:

I’m impatient:

  1. I still don’t know the difference between baking soda and powder, but as someone who dabbles in baking I found a lot of these bringing a smile to my face. The picture sizes varied, but I was so interested in getting to the next meme to get another laugh, that I didn’t notice until afterwards. Well done Alyssa!

  2. This was really good! I was giggling quite a bit and it was so relatable. Like the professor said, when you’re aware of where the meme originates from it makes it more enjoyable. I also thought having your intro in there was a great idea because it gives you a quick idea of what you’re about to see as well as some advice to start small.
