McKee Foods Corp. has announced a new seasonal version of Drake’s Devil Dogs snack cakes. They will be available this season for the holidays.
The new Christmas Mint Creme Devil Dogs is composed of a pair of devils food cakes, which sandwich a mint-flavored creme. This limited edition version is an offshoot of their original Drake’s Devil Dogs snack cake, which traditionally have a regular cream filling.
“We asked Devil Dogs fans to create their own Devil Dogs and Mint Creme was the top flavor suggestion,” said Chip Stenberg, Drake’s associate brand manager. “Drake’s Christmas Mint Creme Devil Dogs will be available for a limited time, from mid-October through Christmas.”
Drake’s brand began as The N.E. Drake Baking Company, incorporated on November 14, 1896 in New York City and founded by Newman E. Drake. Devil Dogs were first marketed in advertisements under the Drake’s brand in 1956.
The new cakes are available in 8-count 13.80-oz boxes at select supermarkets, supercenters, value retailers and convenience stores throughout the Eastern U.S.
